Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026
1. Overview
BikeComputerApp is designed with privacy as a core product principle. The app does not require account creation and does not collect, sell, or monetise personal data. All user data is processed locally on the device unless explicitly shared by the user. If you use BikeComputerApp, you remain in full control of your data at all times.
2. Data We Collect
BikeComputerApp may access the following data types strictly to deliver core functionality:
- Location Data: Used to record cycling routes, speed, distance, elevation, and maps. This is processed on-device and never transmitted to external servers.
- Health and Fitness Data: If you enable Apple Health, the app reads and writes workout data (cycling activity and active energy) through Apple Health APIs.
- Device Data: Basic system information for stability and performance. No identifiers are used for tracking.
3. How Data Is Used
Data is used exclusively to deliver product features, including real-time GPS tracking, ride history, E-Bike differentiation, Apple Health synchronization, and GPX export initiated by the user. BikeComputerApp does not use data for profiling, advertising, or analytics across apps or services.
4. Data Storage
All ride data is stored locally on your iPhone. BikeComputerApp does not operate proprietary servers and does not upload personal data to third-party infrastructure. Any file sharing or export is fully initiated and controlled by you.
5. Third Party Services
BikeComputerApp does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking frameworks. The only external systems involved are Apple-provided services such as Apple Health, Apple Maps, and iOS system frameworks, which operate under Apple's own privacy policies.
6. Data Sharing
BikeComputerApp does not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties. Data is shared only when you explicitly choose to export or share a ride file using system share options.
7. User Control and Deletion
You retain full control over your data. You can delete all app data at any time by removing the app from your device. Health data permissions can be managed or revoked directly in iOS Settings under Health and Privacy.
8. Legal Basis and GDPR
For users in the European Economic Area, data processing is based on legitimate interest and user consent, strictly limited to app functionality. Because data remains on-device and is not centrally processed, BikeComputerApp does not maintain user databases or profiles.
9. Children’s Privacy
BikeComputerApp is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. No knowingly collected data from children is processed.
10. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect product changes or regulatory requirements. Updates will be published on this page. Continued use of the app after updates indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
