INTRODUCTION --------------- HealthVitalsPro ("the App", "we", "our") is an iOS health and wellness application developed by Andre Moura ("Developer"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and your rights as a user. By using HealthVitalsPro, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App. 2. CORE PRIVACY PRINCIPLE: ON-DEVICE PROCESSING ------------------------------------------------ HealthVitalsPro is built on a privacy-first architecture. All health data processing, analysis, and insight generation occur entirely on your device. Your personal health information is never transmitted to external servers, never sold to third parties, and never used for advertising purposes. The App does not require account registration of any kind. No personal account is created, and no login credentials are stored. 3. HEALTH DATA ACCESSED VIA APPLE HEALTHKIT -------------------------------------------- 3.1 DATA THE APP READS FROM APPLE HEALTH Activity and Fitness - Step count - Walking and running distance - Active energy burned - Basal energy burned - Apple Exercise Time - Apple Stand Time - Flights climbed - Cycling distance - VO2 Max (Cardio Fitness) - Workouts (type, duration, energy) Heart and Cardiovascular - Heart rate - Resting heart rate - Walking heart rate average - Heart rate variability (HRV, SDNN) - Blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) - Blood pressure (systolic and diastolic) - Respiratory rate - Low, high, and irregular heart rhythm events Sleep - Sleep analysis (stages: awake, REM, core, deep) Mobility and Functional Fitness - Walking speed - Walking step length - Walking double support percentage - Walking asymmetry percentage - Apple Walking Steadiness - Six-minute walk test distance - Stair ascent and descent speed Body Measurements - Body weight - Body mass index (BMI) - Body fat percentage - Lean body mass - Waist circumference - Height - Body temperature - Wrist temperature during sleep Nutrition - Dietary energy consumed - Dietary water intake - Dietary caffeine - Macronutrients: carbohydrates, protein, total fat, saturated fat, dietary fiber, sugar, cholesterol - Vitamins: A, B6, B12, C, D, E, K, Biotin, Folate, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid, Riboflavin, Thiamin - Minerals: Calcium, Chloride, Chromium, Copper, Iodine, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Molybdenum, Phosphorus, Potassium, Selenium, Sodium, Zinc Mindfulness and Hearing - Mindful sessions - Environmental audio exposure - Headphone audio exposure Other - Time in daylight - Apple Stand hours - Menstrual flow - Biological sex, date of birth, blood type, Fitzpatrick skin type, wheelchair use (read only for context) 3.2 DATA THE APP WRITES TO APPLE HEALTH With your explicit permission, the App may write the following values to Apple Health: - Body weight (when you log a new weight entry) - Body mass index (derived from weight entries going forward) - Height (when you update your profile) - Waist circumference (when you log a measurement) - Dietary water intake (when you log hydration) You may revoke write permissions at any time in the Apple Health app under Settings > Privacy & Security > Health. 4. HOW YOUR HEALTH DATA IS USED -------------------------------- Health data accessed through HealthKit is used exclusively to: - Display your current health metrics across the App dashboard and detail screens - Calculate your Readiness Score and six-pillar health analysis - Generate your Monthly Health Report and trend correlations - Deliver Vital Intelligence push notifications with personalized insights - Power the Your Day summary and contextual metric cards - Provide walking steadiness, gait analysis, and mobility assessments - Track nutritional intake against Dietary Reference Intake (DRI) targets No health data is used to build advertising profiles, shared with data brokers, or processed for any purpose other than those listed above. 5. LOCATION DATA ---------------- The App requests access to your location only while it is in active use (foreground). Location is used solely to retrieve local weather conditions (temperature, humidity, UV index) from Apple WeatherKit in order to enrich your daily health dashboard with environmental context. Your location is processed on-device by Apple WeatherKit and is not stored by the App or transmitted to any Developer-controlled server. 6. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS --------------------- The App uses Apple Push Notification service (APNs) to deliver Vital Intelligence notifications (e.g., Morning Briefing, Heart Rate Alerts, Recovery Nudges). These notifications are generated entirely on-device using your local health data. No health data is transmitted to external servers to produce these notifications. You may disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings > Notifications > HealthVitalsPro, or within the App under Insights > Vital Intelligence Settings. 7. ICLOUD SYNC -------------- User preferences, goals, and app settings are synchronized across your personal devices using Apple iCloud Key-Value Store (NSUbiquitousKeyValueStore). This sync uses your personal iCloud account and is governed by Apple's iCloud Privacy Policy. The Developer has no access to data stored in your iCloud account. 8. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND ANALYTICS -------------------------------------- HealthVitalsPro does not integrate any third-party analytics SDK (such as Firebase Analytics, Amplitude, or Mixpanel). The App does not use advertising frameworks or tracking SDKs. The App does not share any health data, usage data, or device identifiers with third parties for commercial purposes. The only external framework used for health data is Apple HealthKit, which operates entirely within Apple's own privacy-controlled environment. 9. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION -------------------------------- Because all health data remains on your device and in Apple Health, you retain full control at all times: - To remove health data, use the Apple Health app to delete individual data points or revoke HealthVitalsPro access entirely. - To remove App preferences and local settings, delete the App from your device. This removes all locally stored preferences immediately. - iCloud preference data is removed when you delete the App and clear the associated iCloud key-value storage from your iCloud account settings. The Developer does not retain copies of your health data and therefore cannot delete it on your behalf. 10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY ----------------------- HealthVitalsPro is not directed to children under the age of 13. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided health data through the App, please contact us and we will provide guidance on removing that data from Apple Health. 11. SECURITY ------------ HealthVitalsPro is designed with security as a foundational principle. Because no health data leaves your device, the attack surface for external data breaches is eliminated. All data-at-rest is protected by iOS device encryption and the security of the Apple HealthKit framework. Access to health data requires explicit user authorization through Apple's standard HealthKit permission dialog. 12. APPLE HEALTHKIT COMPLIANCE -------------------------------- This App complies with Apple's HealthKit guidelines. Specifically: - HealthKit data is used only to provide health and fitness services directly to the user. - HealthKit data is never used for advertising or sold to advertising platforms or data brokers. - HealthKit data is never disclosed to third parties for purposes other than improving health and fitness, or for medical research (which this App does not conduct). - HealthKit data is not used to calculate insurance risk or for employment screening. 13. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY ------------------------------------- We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document and, where required by law, notify you through the App or through the App Store. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. 14.
